Ritorna lo stilosissimo appuntamento con la musa del mese di Naplestreetstyle. Gli onori di ottobre, in particolare, se li porta a casa Delmy Rivera, in arte Fashion Bananas (www.fashionbananas.com), fashion blogger di origine portoricane nata e vissuta nel Bronx di New York. La mia scelta è ricaduta su Delmy mentre transitavo per caso sul suo blog, quando sono stata colpita dal suo bellissimo viso e dalla sua perfetta pelle olivastra. Indagando i suoi outfits, come potete vedere nelle foto della gallery, le ho riconosciuto un look estremamente trendy fatto di blazers over, t-shirt a righe, boyfriend jeans  e stringate con zeppa che non ho potuto far passare inosservato. E così che l’ho intervistata per Naplestreetstyle.

1. Cos’è lo stile secondo te?
Lo stile è sicurezza, esprimere la propria creatività e la propria personalità. Non occorre necessariamente seguire dei trend per essere stilosi. Devi possederlo.

2. Quali sono gli oggetti che son sempre presenti nella tua borsa e senza i quali non esci?
Burrocacao colorato Nivea, Blackberry, Macchina fotografica, disinfettante per le mani ed un paio di scarpe basse.

3. Quali sono i tuoi stilisti preferiti?
Sono davvero tanti, ma direi tra gli altri Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney e Chloe.

4. Quali sono le tue modelle preferite?
 Alexa Chung, Anja Rubik, Lily Aldridge.

5. L’outfit perfetto di giorno.
Trousers larghi o boyfriend jeans, con una tee shirt grigia over a manica lunga e scarpe dai colori accesi.

6. L’outfit perfetto per la notte.
Giacca di lana over, vestitino nero a manica lunga e stivali stringati alti fin sopra il ginocchio.

7. Secondo te, quale sarà il trend dell’inverno 2009-2010?
Blazers in tweed, stivali alti in suede, cappotti in finta pelliccia, trousers di seta e soprattutto il sequin!!!

8. Chi/cosa ha ispirato/ispira il tuo stile?
Le foto di mia madre da giovane, lo street style, i magazines, Ashley Olsen.

9. Se avessi un  vestito nero basico, come lo renderesti stylish ed originale?
E’ difficile rispondere, credo che ci aggiungerei solo una cintura metallica, collane e bracciali con grandi pietre. Dipende tutto dallo stile del vestito e da come mi sta.

10. Cosa c’è nella tua wish list attuale?
La petal tote di Marc by Marc Jacobs, la tuta floreale stretch in Spandex nylon di American Apparel. Stranamente non c’è un paio di scarpe per il quale impazzisco al momento, ma sono sicura che è solo questione di tempo!

11. C’è un capo nel tuo armadio di cui un pò ti vergogni?
Al momento no. Conservo tutti i miei vecchi vestiti, sono tutti parte di me.

12. Il capo del tuo armadio che ami di più.
Topshop boyfriend jeans. Comodi e versatili.

13. Come mai ha deciso di aprire un blog?
Ho tratto ispirazione dai miei fashion blog preferiti e così ho deciso di aprirne uno tutto mio.

1.In your opinion what is style?
Style is confidence. Expressing your creativity, your personality.
You don't have to follow trends to be in style. You just have to own it.

2. Which are the items that are always in your bag and that you don’t go out without?
My Nivea lip tint chap stick, Blackberry, Camera, hand sanitizer, and a pair of flats.

3. Which are your favourite designers?
There are so many, but a few are Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney, and Chloe.

4. Which are your favorite models?
Alexa Chung, Anja Rubik, Lily Aldridge.

5. Your perfect outfit for the morning.
Loose fit trouser or boyfriend jeans with a lightweight gray long sleeve tee and bright coloured shoes.

6. Your perfect outfit for the night.
Over-sized wool blazer, long sleeve knit black short dress and lace up over the knee boots.

7. In your opinion, which is the winter 09/10 trend?
Tweed blazers, suede thigh high boots, faux fur coats, silk trousers,  lots of sequins.

8. Who/ What inspires/inspired your style?
My Mom's old photos, street style, magazines, Ashley Olsen.

9. If you had a basic black dress, how would you make it original and stylish?
That's hard to answer, I would just add a metallic belt, a chunky choker, or chunky bracelets.
It all depends on the style of the dress and how it fits me.

10. Do you customize your clothes? If yes, how do you do it?
That doesn't happen very often. The most I do is just cut tees and jeans.

11. Which are the items in your wish list now?
Marc by Marc Jacobs petal tote bag, American Apparel nylon Spandex stretch floral lace unitard.
Surprisingly there isn't a pair of shoe at the moment that I am crazy about, but I am sure I will find one soon.

12. Is there an item in your wardrobe that you are embarrassed about?
Not at the moment. I usually get rid of all my old clothes. But nothing to
be embarrassed about. They're all a part of me.

13. The most loved item you have in your wardrobe.
Topshop boyfriend jeans. Comfortable and versatile.

14. Why did you start writing on your blog?
After stalking many of my favorite blogs I got inspired to create my own.
